Covid safety measures

Dear members

In light of the high volume of COVID-19 cases on the Isle of Man, the IOMSRA is looking for your assistance and co-operation to help keep the courts safe and facilitate the continued smooth running of the rest of the season.

In line with current guidelines issued by the IOM Government, we remind players that:

– The wearing of masks when mixing with others that you don’t normally mix with is strongly advised. Accordingly, to protect both yourself and others in the squash community, some of whom may be more vulnerable than you, we would ask that you consider wearing a mask when you are at the courts but not playing;

– LFTs are recommended to be taken twice a week, and should be considered before any events. Given the close proximity of players for prolonged periods of time at league, tournaments or junior training, please consider the possibility and benefit of taking a LFT shortly before attending IOMSRA organised events.

Further, we would like to reiterate the option to re-schedule matches where a player feels at all unwell, whether COVID related or not. If you have any issues with the above, please contact the league secretary who will assist in the matter.

We will constantly monitor the case levels on Island and how they impact the squash calendar and fixtures and update our guidance as necessary.

Please help us keep the squash courts as safe as possible!

Kind regards

IOMSRA Committee
