The IOMSRA introduced a new tournament to their Squash Calendar this year, the ‘MYZONE Christmas Handicap Tournament’. The Tournament was well supported with an entry of 32 players. It was hoped to a be a fun tournament to finish the Pre-Christmas half of the season and it didn’t disappoint.

The MYZONE Christmas Handicap 2018 – Final Tonight

It is the ‘Final Night’ tonight in the ‘MYZONE Christmas Handicap 2018’. The final should start between 7.30 and 8 and it promises to be a very exciting match between to fine young players who are fairly evenly matched. The graphic below shows the matches to be played tonight, they will be played from the bottom match up through the round finishing with the final between Ben Leith and Leighton Ginty.

The MYZONE Christmas Handicap 2018 – Round 1 Draw

A few points to note –

  • In Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 the matches will be best of 3 games PAR to 15 points. In Round 5 it will be best of 5 games PAR to 15.
  • The tournament will be played as follows  – Rounds 1 and 2 on Monday 10th December; Rounds 3 and 4 on Tuesday 11th December and Round 5 (Final Round) on Thursday 13th December.
  • The Handicaps will change each round and are dependant on who you are playing, they are worked out using the players ‘Squash Levels’ ranking points to determine what a fair handicap for the match should be.
  • I have emailed the Draw and the Order of Play to all players. Be at the NSC for the start time of 6.30pm as we will need Markers
  • Please bring the Entry fee along on the first night of the tournament (Monday) it is Seniors £15 and Juniors £10.
