Congratulations to Emma Leith – Junior Squash Player of the Season
Emma went into the 2019/2020 season full of confidence after making her competitive debut for the senior Isle of Man Ladies team at the Natwest International Island Games held in Gibraltar in July 2019. Not only did Emma make her debut but she also managed to pick up a win on her very first trip which is an exceptional achievement. Emma took this form into the league season, playing for the Academy teams in both the C and B leagues. She achieved some fantastic victories through her desire to win and her excellent improvement in her technical ability. Emma picks up this award for not only how she competes on court but how she applies herself off court as well. She is a great example to the younger juniors, as she is always on time, always committed to training as well as trying to juggle being in the Island netball team and her school studies. This season Emma has also volunteered and helped out at the Beginner junior squash sessions and the academy development sessions, another reason why Emma fully deserves the award of the Junior Player of the Season and really is an inspiration for the younger players to look up to.
